Project overview
A 120-Year-Old Beauty, Restored
This Highlands Victorian had peeling siding, rotted window trim, and a faded three-color scheme that hid its architecture. The owners wanted historic character with modern protection.
The challenge
Lead-safe prep on century-old siding, carpentry repairs on six windows, and a color scheme that honored the home's era while standing out on the block — all before an early-September cold snap.
Our approach
Certified lead-safe scraping and sanding, cedar trim replacement where rot had set in, full re-caulk, oil-based spot priming, and two coats of premium exterior acrylic in a period-appropriate palette with crisp contrasting trim.
Scope
Siding, six windows, fascia, porch columns, and detached garage in a 3-color scheme.
Products
Premium exterior acrylic, oil-based exterior primer, elastomeric caulk throughout.
Result
Finished ahead of the cold snap — neighbors now stop to photograph the house.
